base camp to google earth

Guys I am new here and was trying to take one of my maps from base camp and bring it in town and have it blown up printed for my camp. Can I save a file and bring it somewhere and have it blown up and printed? Also can I somehow copy my file and transpose it onto google earth. Thanks

Hi, just bought your program... but it doesn't say which versions of Mapsource/Basecamp/GE it needs to work. At the moment I have the older versions, which worked till late 2020 (MS 6.16.3, BC 4.6.2, GE 7.0.3.8542) Babel is updated, but I see that version og GE is no more running itself, so which GE I should use? Have to use a newer BC too? Many thanks!

It should work with any version of BaseCamp or Mapsource*. And any version of GE.

(There's a generous trial, which means one can test it before buying it.)

well if my GE is not running itself I must change it anyway. Let's try and see if the whole thing workds for me. It was only 2 euros, no big problem

Well I downloaded a 7.3.1.4507 (64-bit) GE versions, but if I try to use the "View in Google Earth" button,this doesn't work. The message is "This function requires the installation of Google Earth"! So it just doesn't see it

Yes, it's cheap but I have no interest in people paying for something that doesn't work for them.

The "View in Google Earth" button is in BaseCamp (an older version of BaseCamp). The latest versions of BaseCamp removed this button/feature.

That feature in the older version of BaseCamp doesn't work with newer versions of GE. There might be ways of futzing with the registry to get GE to work (there's some info in these forums about doing that). But it might require a 32 bit version of GE.

My app does away with these issues but it works differently.

Copy the item in BaseCamp.
Click a button on my app.
My app will copy the item to GE.

The way my app works it doesn't matter what version of BaseCamp/Mapsource or GE is being used.

Note that, with my app, you need to use the BaseCamp "create track" option for routes. (The old versions of BaseCamp did this for you automatically for routes and exported the track to GE.)
