Custom map won't load

I have downloaded custom topo maps from TOPO50 maps for NZ. I have opened them with google earth and transfered then to my etrex20x. I can do 1 map and it works but when I load 17 it says too many custom maps and won't display any. There is like 5 gb of space why can't it load them. I want to have a large area which I work in and don't want to connect to computer everytime to change map. Any ideas? Thanks

There are limits to what can be downloaded to your Etrex, irrespective of space on the device or sd card:

I am trying to download maps from https://www.topomap.co.nz, I download kmz, open it was google earth and save as to my garmin. I can load 1 and it works but when I try to load like 17 it says the maps won't load as there are too many.

Then that one map must exceed the limits, as I don't use those maps I can't check but I use other custom maps without issues on my Etrex 20
