Garmin Nuvi 2597, Basecamp and Route-Led

I have a Garmin Nuvi 2597, I purchased a set of Test routes from Route-Led which I have installed via Basecamp, my problem is that my Garmin device assumes each way point on the route is my final destination and just takes me there and no further, has any body have any idea how to remove way points on a route?

Not sure exactly what you mean. If you simply want to delete viapoints in a route in BaseCamp use the eraser icon to do so. Alternatively you can delete them in trip planner on your device.

Your 2597 though shouldn't stop at viapoints in a route. How are you actually selecting the route on your device? Are you selecting it in trip planner and then selecting the first point in the route? If not what are you doing?

Thanks for your reply, to try and clarify, the Test Routes are all about 7 -10 miles and 30-40 minutes long in duration.

The Routes are shown correctly on my Garmin Device map as a circular route, but when I select a route and press 'GO' The Garmin device asks me to select the next destination giving me 2 options

(1) CT6 6LA, herne bay.

(2) Margate Road.

Both of these locations are near the start of the test route selected but which ever one I select my Garmin device just takes me to that location and on arrival (a couple of minutes later) wrongly assumes that I have completed the journey.

This is the response I received back from ROUTE-LED

'The reason you’re getting this issue is you’ve importing our routes as POIs (Points of Interest). Therefore your Garmin device thinks each waypoint in our routes is a POI and thinks you want to navigate to each separately. Please follow the Garmin instructions on our support page to load routes correctly.

As far as I am aware the routes have been downloaded correctly and are shown on Basecamp and have been loaded onto my Garmin device and are listed correctly showing the route in numerical order and as I have said shows a correct circular route on the Garmin Device map, so I am mystified and wrongly thought I may be able to cancel the way points to ttry and get the device to navigate further than the first destination.

Is there a way to disable the 'SELECT NEXT DESTINATION' screen on my Garmin Device?

Any help & advice would be most appreciated as this is excuse the pun 'Driving me round the bend'

Something is wrong because from your description the route is not even showing the end point. Seems like this could be an issue with the Route-Led routes.

What would be worth trying is with the Route-Led showing in BaseCamp use BaseCamp to create a route that follows it and send the BaseCamp created route to your device. Note circular routes can cause issues, so ensure the start and end points aren't too close together.
