Should I go from 4.6.2 to 4.7.2?

About the time Garmin announced stopping support for Basecamp they released a version after 4.6.2 that had some serious issues that caused me to revert back to 4.6.2. I dont remember what they were, perhaps you remember? Now 4.7.2 is an even newer and recent version. Should I upgrade to it? Would you know if the issues that caused so many to have problems with the release after 4.6.2 are resolved?

I won't be as I'm happy with 4.6.2 but if you go ahead please let us know. The changelog says

New MapInstall version 4.2.2.0 also available

Ill take your advise. I dont want to risk it. Ill stay with 4.6.2.

4.7.2 is fine. It fixed the map installation problems that came after 4.6.2

good news. If I install 4.7.2 and I determine there are problems can I reinstall 4.6.2 without any issues?

You can always revert. 4.7.2 fixed the MapInstall issue but introduced other problems, like issues with Google Earth. Unless you have a problem with 4.6.2 and if you like the ability to view data in GE then I'd stick with 4.6.2

Interesting that they keep issuing updates after stating they were abandoning it.

Not abandoned, just no development but they are still doing minor bug fixes.
