Waypoints in numerical order

Hi,

I’m new to Basecamp. I have created a trip with numerous waypoints on dirt tracks, and now would like to make this into a route. The waypoints are listed alphabetically rather than in numerical order. So, using Control A or first waypoint and shift last waypoint results in a mishmash of connections. How do I make the route follow the numerical points?

Any advice appreciated thanks.

When you select them all and then right click and select create route from selected waypoints you should get a list showing the order they're in, and allowing you to change the order. Alternatively if you select them individually using Ctrl + click in the order you want them then right click the selection and choose create route from selected waypoints the route will be in the order you selected.

Note too you can get waypoints to list in numerical order if you're careful with your numbering, so while 1 to 19 won't 01 to 19 will work.

Thanks for your response. Some of my waypoints have numbers and some have locations. I assume I should have manually added numbers .

Well you don't need to, as I posted there are other ways to make a route following waypoints in the correct order.
