Transfer purchased topo maps to new edge 1030 plus in case of repair/substitution of device in cade of repair?

if I buy Alpenvereinskarten topo map v4 for expensive EUR 129,90 - via Download for Edge 1030 Plus - will Garmin allow a transfer to the new device in case of repair/device substitution by Garmin?

I ask cause usually topo maps via download will be - like BirdsEye subscriptions - uploaded to one device exclusively If this device breaks and Garmin does not repair but substitute, the 129 Eur would be lost.

If you have a device replaced by Garmin they will switch the maps across.

ok thanks. Cause they didnt with my Garmin Edge 1000. They granted new subscriptions (which I appreciated much) but they were appx half worth the many subscriptiobs I bought before.

I am kind of poweruser as I use the Edge for both mtb and mountsin hiking in the European Alps.

but if soneone has an advice for a better upload og mountain raster maps to the Edge 1030 Plus than BirdsEye or the very expensive Alpenvetein radter topo v4 I d be vety thankful!

I followed a workaroung given in this thread:

If delete GarminDevice.xml the device working normaly. After restart 1030 plus create own a file again.

This actually bypasses the error message that Basecamp did not connect the 1030 PLUS correctly and it seems that all maps of 1030 PLUS are available in BC, but does not help with BirdsEye. It still does not work.
