Hi To all
I'm downloading some BirdsEye area using Basecamp
Why the server is too slow.
For one area of 168 Gb I need around 1 hour.
I have fiber at home, normally for 200 Gb i need 10 minute for other server.
Thank you

Hi, Same here I bought a GPSMAP 66i this week. Downloading 232 Mega Byte (yes Mega not Gb) takes more than a hour where other servers do it in seconds.

I signed up for BirdsEye for a year and noticed the same thing about slowness. The maximum size per downlad is 232MB.
There are file size limits on Birdseye downloads -- this article from our Support Center lists the limits: Maximum Download Size for BirdsEye Satellite Imagery. 168gb far exceeds the limits, so you should have better luck downloading substantially smaller areas of imagery, or using a lower detail level.

It is almost 2023 now. Who invents a map service with a tile limit of 232MB on maps for the first place? This is a premium product or am I mistaking? The crying truth is that I even had to go down to standard resolution at highest you can for get to cover Oman in some reasonable time.
Then if you find out the correct tile size which is accepted by the software, then you must wait more than an hour. Pretty annoying. My ISP connection is certainly not the limiting factor here.
Any feedback from Garmin? Premium user experience is: click here to download Oman or selected area in one go at resolution of choice. With download server speed of todays standards.
Tried both:
1) BirdsEye direct at the GPS unit itself
2) From Garmin BaseCamp (i7, 16GG RAM, 1GB SSD) with latest version of basecamp 4.7.4 from May 19,2021 (yes latest)
The recognition of the 66i in Basemap is also poor. While synchronisation had already been successful the Basecamp still tells:
To use this feature, connect a device that supports Birdseye....
