Track / Route properties box do not open. (Basecamp 4.7.2)

I can no longer open the route properties box. I used to simply double-click the route in a "My Collections" list, and it would pop up. I could then add, delete, and re-order the waypoints, as well as set arrival, departure, and layover times. Then all of sudden it simply stopped working. I reinstalled Basecamp (4.7) but that didn't help. If I right click the route and select "Open", nothing happens. How do I open the properties box? 

I have the same problem, even after I upgraded to 4.7.2.

Where is the other post? There is no link, I can't find it with search.

    Not sure if this will help but try clearing the BaseCamp caches.


    C:\Users\[yourusername]\AppData\Local\Garmin\BaseCamp\CardPrductCache
    C:\Users\[yourusername]\AppData\Local\Garmin\BaseCamp\PrductDataCache
    C:\Users\[yourusername]\AppData\Local\Garmin\BaseCamp\TileCache

    Do it with BaseCamp closed, then relaunch BaseCamp

    Unfortunately, that didn’t help.

     After that I deinstalled Basecamp, removed all the directories I could find from Basecamp (Program files , AppData) and then installed Basecamp again,  but that didn’t help either.

    Maybe there is something wrong in the registry.

    I installed an older version (452) , that one worked well. version 462 works wel  to but in version 470 and higher I can't open the track or rout properties. Dat is on my Windows-7 computer. on my Windows 10 computer 472 works well. 

    I think I mis some essential files on my windows-7 computer. So, I think I stay with Version 462. Slight smile

    I came here because I had the same problem on version 4.73. I now see that because I have two monitors the route properties window was on the other screen. It never hurts to check the basics.

    my version 4.7.3 just started doing the same thing on my windows 10 laptop. After reading your experience, I don't feel inclined wasting the entire day trying make Garmin software perform. Interestingly (but unsurprisingly), I have a windows 10 desktop with Basecamp 4.0.0 still operating. It seems to work ok, even after I transferred some recent tracks from the windows 10 laptop to the desktop. Now, if I just hold my breath and Garmin leaves my desktop alone, I might get a couple of months of a working Basecamp until I DON'T have a working Basecamp. I don't expect much help from Garmin.
