Upload of geotagged photos available in Basecamp?

Hello,

In the Basecamp help file it states "you can upload geotagged photos to a supported online photo service.". Does anyone know if this still the case. If so what services are supported. I haven't been able to find any further information.

Online photo services don't need BaseCamp to upload photos to them.

In any case, it doesn't seem like it's a feature BaseCamp needs to provide.

That doesn't say you can use BaseCamp to do that.

That is, it appears you can geotag the photos in BaseCamp and use something else to upload the photos.

"Geotagged photos are photos that include geographic location data. You can view geotagged photos in the BaseCamp application, and you can upload geotagged photos to a supported online photo service."

That's an odd way of expressing it then. Supported by what if it's not Basecamp?

I know that. But some software does have uploading ability built in and I thought Basecamp may have had also. I can only assume that the wording in the help file applies to a legacy feature that is no longer supported.

That could explain it.

For the latest version, it's possible that this feature (if it existed) was removed for GRDP reasons and the documentation wasn't updated.

In any case, it seems that people would pick an online photo service for reasons other than BaseCamp supporting it.

It's not like online photo services are, themselves, permanent. Picasa was a fairly popular one and it no longer exists.

It the sort of feature that can end-up being a curse. There will always be some service that isn't supported that people want and the services themselves can change. It might make more sense not to support this sort of feature. Especially, when it's not necessary.

Keep in mind that BaseCamp is "end of life" (as far as anybody can tell).
