Have just today purchased the Garmin drivesafe 65 to replace an approximately 11 year old Garmin ( not sure of the model) that has served me well. I use it predominantly for work to find Poi’s that are loaded from the work PC. No problems with loading the Poi’s just as with the old unit. However major problem with the new drivesafe65 in the time it takes to search for a POI compared to the old unit. Example:- if i select a POI that is withing 10 metres of my vehicle the drivesafe65 takes 2-3minutes to locate it. Where as the old unit finds the same POI in 2-5 seconds. Why is this ? As i may typically need to search for 20 POI’S per day , this is a major pain & time waster. Any ideas?
