Normal Basecamp/GPS Behavior?

I don't have a 770 but that's not how other GPS work. How do you know your 770 draws it's own route?

Well, with the shaping points in BC set to "do not alert", and the route transfered to the 770, the 770 will route me using some major interstates instead of my BC designed route.  This happens no matter which vehicle profile I choose.

OK, but when you do a where to, trip planner and select the route, then tap Go what do you see listed?  And what do you select?

Yes, that's it - If the shaping points are set to "Do not alert"  they do not appear in the list as you asked.  If set to "alert" they do show, the first point is selcted and that is what I use and all is well.

That's your issue, you need a start point that you can select, that is a waypoint and not a shaping point. As a minimum therefore you should be able to select the end and the beginning of your route. If you can only select the end then any shaping points will be ignored, you need to select the start.

Thanks, I'll give that a try when we get to our destination, later today, and before we head out again in a few days.  So you are saying I can have just the start and end "waypoints" se the shaping points "Do not Alert", select the start point of the route and it should follow my designed route?  Maybe that's what I used to do.  It's been a few months since we traveled using a route.
