BaseCamp 471 won't show up on the screen anymore

All of a sudden basecamp 471 won't launch anymore though it uses to work without any issue. At launching BaseCamp complains that it does not have access to its data base so it does not show up on the screen. How to restaure this access

Off course first thing first before anything else before posting I tried to uninstall & reinstall it to no avail.

Well look to see if you still have the database as an uninstall doesn't delete it, if it's not there you or something else must have done so. The name of the database is AllData.gdb so do a search of your PC to see if it exists.

Thank you for your interest.. The data base is in the directory ...roaming/Garmin/BaseCamp/Database/...I checked the contents was okay by sending it to another pc where it was doing well. I found the clitch. It was windows. For some reason the program was started but was not showing up. A right click on the task bar & then a click on "show all winwows" solved the issue. Thanx again for your help
