I just bought a Forerunner 945 with the TopoActive Europe 2019.20 map on it. When I connect the watch to my PC via USB and I open Basecamp, I can see the map on the tree list but when I click on that one (or any pre-installed maps), the map area stays blue and only my tracks are displayed. The map works fine on the watch, but I would like to use Basecamp to plan new routes and stuff. What am I missing? Basecamp took ages to get the synchronization of these pre-installed maps, but in the end it managed to achieve it.
Is there any way I could see my maps without connecting my Forerunner to the PC? I was wondering if that might be the problem... I have seen on the internet that using Garmin Express was the way to do it but the latest version does not have that option and the only thing I can do is just re-installing the maps.
Edit: I downloaded a free OpenFietsMap to check if it happens with all the maps but this one works perfect. Why am I having problems with the ones from my Garmin device??
