Acquiring satellites

My Zumo 590 looks for satellites a couple of times each day. Is there a fix to stop/prevent this happening? TIA

Having said that if you switch to simulation mode it won't look for satellites but then it won't navigate for you either, so I have no idea why you would want to do this
