GPSMAP64 - DEM Worldwide basemap

Hi everybody, I just deleted by mistake the DEM Worldwide basemap file from my device:

Where can I find it, so to reinstall it ?

You can replace it from your back up, if you made one? If not then first I would suggest you do.

If not then you could try contacting Product Support, in the past they've sent the file to those who needed it.

Thanks! I contacted the Product Support (also by phone) but the told me to download it from Garmin Express. But I cannot find where on it !

I've never known it to be available via Express. Call them again and ask where, I suspect the person you spoke to misunderstood the question.

The confusion is that the DEM map and the Worldwide Basemap are two different maps (and files).

If you re-install maps from Garmin Express the DEM map will be restored, but NOT the Worlwide Basemap. For that last one you may contact Garmin Support. So probably Garmin Support triggered on your speaking about the DEM map and so they advised to re-install maps using GE?

Yes, I think so. I will try to copy exactly all files from another device, from a friend. However many thanks for Your comments and help.

If needed, make room on the device by removing (temporarily) extra maps you installed yourself. Take out the SD-card and re-install the Cycle Map using Garmin Express. All map files should be installed on the device.

I doubt if copying map files from a friends device will work because they might remain locked.
