Greyed out: New Waypoint, New Track, New Route

As per my screen grab below, In my Tools menu, Waypoint, Route, Track, and others, as well as my icons for New Waypoint, New Route and New Track are all greyed out. I am new to this program so it's probably something dumb that I haven't figured out yet.

Could someone please help me to figure this out?

It looks like you have the map on the device highlighted and the tools are context sensitive. Click on the Unlisted date folder up above and they should be available. But, before you go creating wayoints and routes you should become familiar with the database nature of My Collection. It really is necessary to understand this to fully grasp the usefullness of Basecamp and not become frustrated. I would suggest as a start to create a List Folder under My collection (File/New/List Folder) and create a list under that folder (File/New/List) to contain the routes & waypoints you create.

Thank you very much for this Breezly. I will definitely give this a try once I’m back on the PC (on phone now).

Also, thank you for your suggested approach to this. I am excited to get into this software (I’m also a motorcyclist) and have been struggling a little to find ‘a way in’, so I really appreciate your advice.

Wow! This is awesome Breezly. I’ve downloaded both parts of the English Agenda for PC and can’t wait to get into it.
