For years, Using Express, I have updated my nuvi 2797LMT maps to both the device and to my computer for use with BaseCamp. Using Basecamp, I generally create my routes and then download them to my 2797 Microcard, where then appear on the 2797 under Apps -> Trip Planner.
I have now purchased a drivesmart 65 GPS LMT and would also like to create my routes on BaseCamp and download them to this GPS also. Using the computer map I downloaded along with the 2797 map, I transferred one of my previously created routes to the 65, however I cannot find it anywhere, including the Apps -> Trip Planner.
My questions are,
1. Are the maps downloaded to the computer with the 2797 for BaseCamp identical to those that would be downloaded to the computer with the 65, basically so that I do not have to have separate computer maps of the same version on my computer for BaseCamp?
2. Does the 65 accept downloaded routes from BaseCamp, and if so, how do you locate them on the device.
3. If the BaseCamp computer maps are different, requiring that both be available and used to create routes for the appropriate device, exactly how are they stored on the computer, based on their both having the same file names?
