This has happened with three different installs to Windows 10 over the past couple of weeks, both on desktop and laptop.
I install Basecamp 4.7, but the when install Topo 24K (East, West, or Southwest, all Ver 2.0) maps, Basecamp will crash when I open it. It gives me an error and says it is sending to Garmin servers and then it just shuts down.
I tried Basecamp 4.62 and it doesn't crash as hard, but it won't let me access the Topo 24K maps and gives me an error message and the removes them from the list of available maps.
I did this on fresh installs of Windows 10. The last time, I just installed Windows and then Basecamp before anything else.
And the weird thing is that it all works fine on my old laptop where I installed Basecamp and Topo 24K well over a year ago. I can still use that just fine, although this version of Windows 10 hasn't been updated since 2015. I must have turned off Windows update at some point.
So it is most likely an incompatibility with later versions of Windows 10...maybe something that has to do with NET framework?
If anyone has any ideas as to a possible workaround, it would be appreciated. Thanks.
