GPX/GPI on screen nuvi 2589

I used to be able to do this, but I haven't had the need to add GPX or GPI points to my 2589 in a while.

I can not visualize my GPX nor my GPI points on my 2589. I am putting the files into my memory card. I have used BaseCamp to send the GPX points and POI loader for the GPI points. I can see both types of files when I connect the 2589 to my PC. The POI's show up in my Where To, Categories but they do not show up on the map screen. The GPX files seem too be completely invisible WRT the map and the Where to.

I'd appreciate it if someone could point me in the direction of a solution.

Do you have the relevant map layer enabled? Can't recall exactly where that is on your model but it will be in settings somewhere. Note too that visibility is dependent on zoom setting, you may need to zoom in to see them.

I enabled all the layers, Up Ahead Places, Traffic, and Trip Log. I can zoom from 2 mi. to 200 ft. No points.

You're sure then you've been able to see them on that nuvi? I ask because I don't have that model and Garmin keep changing what can/cannot be displayed. On my Drive I can see POIs and my Favourites, but that's certainly not true of every Garmin.

It is entirely possible I am mixing it up with something else. The manual mentions being able to use GPXs and GPIs.

Might be a Garmin call or email.
