can't read img from memory stick or SD card

Hi SUSSAMB ,

I've read you saying that Basecamp can directly read a map (.img) from a memory stick or SD card but this is not working for me.
The img file was creating using IMGFROMGPX and I'm able to see it in my Fenix 5x but not at Basecamp.
Any clue?

PS: I tried to upload the img file bit for some reason the forum doesn't allow me to upload any kind. Always gives me a message "invalid file"

Needs to be in a folder named Garmin on the card

The file is under a folder named Garmin.
I have even put another member img file in it to see if it was a problem with my file gmapsupp.img. Find a prtscr of the Basecamp and the card directory.

In that case run JaVaWa's device manager program. Look at the card using that and view the map details. You may need to enable the map to be viewed in BaseCamp as some maps don't have the appropriate flag set correctly.

Just a comment that there is no option or instructions at IMGfromGPX on how to make .img files visible in Basecamp.
I had to use Javawa Device Manager to accomplish that, after getting a tip from an Garmin forum user.
