I am looking at buying a new navigator. I currently have a nuvi 2447 with Lifetime European Maps didaa didaa. I would like something with digital traffic (i.e. not mobile data) for driving in the UK. However, I am also planning a trip to the USA and would like a navigator that is compatible with what goes on over there. Obviously the GPS should work, but are there any other aspects I should be considering?
Any suggestions gratefully received.

P.S. Yes I know this is a Windows + BaseCamp forum, but there doesn't seem to be anywhere else that is more relevant. I do have BaseCamp running on Windows, for all the good it does me.
