List of definitions for terms and symbols

I'm late to the game after using Mapsource for so many years and struggling to get over the Base Camp learning curve.

Is there a list of definitions for symbols and terms used in Base Camp? I've searched for 2 days in every website I can find. The BaseCamp help isn't much help. It tells how to edit a hub, for instance; but I cannot find where it explains what a hub is and how it is used.

For instance: What is a hub and how are they used
For instance: What is a trip and how is it used.

For instance, the symbol that looks like a day calendar with a thumbtack in it . . . what is that?

I'm trying to create 2-week motorcycle trips for next summer (something I've done for the past 8 -10 years with MapSource) and can't seem to make much progress.

If I were you I'd simply create routes for each day and ignore hubs, trip planner etc

Trip planner will give you nothing but headaches... Like SUSSAMB suggested, create routes directly.

Thanks for the advice. It's a shame that the trip planner isn't more intuitive. It looks like it would be a great way to plan a multi-day motorcycle camping trip. I cannot find anyone that has had joy working with it. Total waste of software, I guess.
