I backed Basecamp up out to the D: Drive on 12/06/18, 12/07/18, 13/08/18 and again on 28/08/18 all using 4.7.0.
I use Basecamp every day and the database passes the datacheck every time I start it.
The Basecamp backup that backs up to the D: Drive has produced a data exception error twice when I have tried to run it in September so far. It takes about 3/4 hour to produce a complete backup, and the failure is occurring after about 35 - 40 minutes.
On 27th of August Basecamp locked up and I had to close the application. When I restarted it, it did a database "rebuild" for itself before it ran, hence I ran the Basecamp Backup on the 28th to "secure" my data.
I backup my computer on the 12th of each month to an external USB drive, so I always backup the Basecamp Database, along with the Lightroom Database and other applications to my D: Drive, then include those backups into my monthly external backup.
I am rather anxious to find a fix if there is one, rather than restore the data from the 28th and reload everything that has been changed since then. I live and travel with my wife in a Motorhome and Basecamp holds the records of every days driving, every days mountain biking, every waypoint I create, all the Museum and attraction waypoints have their PDF brochure and website linked into the waypoints as I create them, and every night stop has a photo of it loaded into the waypoint created, so the data is continually growing and being modified. Making sure I can have everything in place so that I can reload everything changed and added since the 28th of August will be a little bit of a challenge if that is what I have to do.
Ah ok. If for some reason that's not working then your other option is simply to manually back up the database folder. Search for AllData.gdb to find where the folder is on your computer, then back up the appropriate folder.
