Move My Collection From One PC To Another

I've just replaced my desktop PC and loaded the latest version of BaseCamp. I've also upgraded BaseCamp on my laptop, where all my data resides.

I've tried unsuccessfully to export "My Collection" from the laptop to the desktop. I get the data, but it's not in the folders in which all my trips are organized. Am I doing something wrong? I don't want to have to rebuild all those trips, with many routes, waypoints, etc., in them.

There must be a way to export/import the entire package with the structure that exists.

Please help.

Try doing a backup from Basecamp on the old computer, save to a thumb drive, restore that backup to Basecamp on the new computer?

Agreed, that should work. If not then manually copy the BaseCamp data folder across. Where that folder is varies but you can easily find it by searching for alldata.gdb

I have been using the Backup/Restore tools for years to copy from my desktop to my laptop. Works perfect!

Oddly, when I went to backup to a thumb drive, it produced an error, saying it was read-only. I think the program was trying to verify the backup. So I wrote the backup out to the hard drive and then copied it to the thumb drive. That worked fine and I was able to restore it to the new PC with no problem. BUT, does anyone know why Cloud Storage and its associated data continues to display in v4.7.0? I thought they did away with support for Cloud. (There is no way to login to Cloud; I guess the data file that was restored also had Cloud data?)
