Does Base Camp work off line?

Hello guys! I'm planning on doing an expedition to an old unvisited ruin of a Dominic Mision in Baja California Mexico in the Sierra San Pedro Martir National Park. And What I plan to do (If base camp permits you to do it) is as I go along the way walking and seeing my location in the GPS I plan to insert that data into base camp and watching in real time where I am walking to. (of course downloading the data that the GPS is giving me, connecting it to the mini laptop and downloading it to basecamp that I plan to have with me windows 10 by the way)

Is this possible?

Does Basecamp run offline? Because there's no way I'm getting internet connection in does mountains.

Yes it works offline but you can't watch in real time as you imply.

Yeah I but I mean can sit down, turn on the laptop, open base camp (offline), download today's walk from my garmin GPS to basecamp and watch where I am, correct?

Yes except you can't watch where you are. It can't track your position.

Thank you I already tried it at home and it worked. May I add if you don't have the update on Garmin express, update on GPS Device and Update on base camp something will fail. When I got to home it didn't recognize my device anymore (offline) until I updated everything online. Then I shut everything down including modem and it worked perfectly I can even send my tracks to the base camp folder (or whatever is called) and edit the tracks.
