Two weeks ago I installed a new card on my Etrex 20, or at least I thought I did. The card only installed partially (the big outlines), no street details are seen. To install I used Basecamp, as always. So far I did not have any problems but now even my old cards only partially install. I tried using Mapinstaller instead of Basecamp but the same problem occurs. Also when using a different laptop to install from the same problem occurs. The Garmin is empty, so it cannot be a matter of lack of memory on the device either. Without street details the device is basically useless to me so any help would be very welcome!
Are you running the latest version of BaseCamp? If so you'll see numerous posts on this as there appears to be an issue with the newest version of BaseCamp and MapInstall transferring maps. Try reverting to the previous version.
