Routes from older BaseCamp Backups

So,we are doing a 3 month tour of much of the USA. I didn't think too much about what I was doing as we traveled. I had originallycreated multiple routes and as we traveled I made changes and.at times, removed some of the old data, and created new backups as we moved along.
Any way I can get those routes from the older backups into my current BaseCamp routes?

Might be an easier way but this is what I could come up with.

Create a backup of the current state of BaseCamp, making sure not to overwrite any older backups
Restore to the backup that contains the routes you want
Select the routes, then "export selection"
Restore to the backup you created in step 1
Import into my collection the routes you exported in step 3

Thanks. I was able to put the entire route back together and save it. Export it as a kml fire and import it into Google My Maps for sharing.
