Base Camp map older than Device map and Garmin Express map

I'm probably remembering incorrectly, but in the past, when I updated a map on my Nuvi 2597 using Garmin Express, the map in Base Camp also updated. However, today I'm getting messages from Base Camp that my map is over a year old, and wants me to buy an update (I paid for unlimited updates a couple of years ago). When I compare to the map on my device and the map detected by GE, the device map is newer than the Base Camp map. How do I get Base Camp to recognize that there is a newer map on my device?
