Search causes Basecamp crash

Sometimes when using the search in Basecamp, BC crashes. Same result on two different PCs.
I have backed up my enitire BC DB on one PC, and restored to the other PC, so it might be some data within some waypoint or similar, that BC cannot handle.
Any way to auto-enumerate all entries and clean up defective records, characters etc?

Not sure what your issue is. What are you searching for when it crashes? How are you creating the search?

Well, just searching using the search box in the upper right corner of BC. Sometimes BC just crashes after finding the first result or so.

Another issue that occurs commonly, is that upon exiting BC, it keeps on and on. Seems BC is saving data before closing. It's just a shame, that this save sometimes never ends, and I have to force Windows to close it...

I'd try uninstalling then reinstalling Basecamp.

Not sure it will help, as both OS'es are rather new Win10 installs. But I will uninstall and reinstall to make sure.
However, as both PCs behave similarly, it smells like BC bugs...
I will keep you updated.

Mine don't crash either on win7 or win10 so if it's a bug I haven't seen it. Which map are you trying to search on, as it could be map related.

I have had this happen a few times on my Windows 10 machine. A reinstall clears it up. I think it is caused by some Windows updates.

I uninstalled and reinstalled. Unfortunately same behaviour. The weird thing is it doesn't crash upon the same search term each time, it just crashes occasionally when searching. Maybe it works better on Win7. Maybe I should install Win7 in a Linux based VM :-) I remember when switching to Win10, I had issues with Garmins software.

I you guys ain't the developers, but if somebody from Garmin reads this, then check this from the Windows application log (opr contact me for additional details):

Sussamb, BAsecamp uses the Garmin City navigator europe NT 2018.2 installed on the PCs HDD.

OK well I can still search that map without crashes so don't think it's the map.
