(Windows) Basecamp only transfers route start/end point to Nuvi 2450

I am planning a trip to some Eastern Europe countries, and I downloaded an OSM onto Basecamp, and changed the name to Eastern Europe OSM. I then installed it from BC to the SD card of my Garmin in a Maps folder. The only maps in the Garmin are the US map, and the Eastern Europe map, with only the latter checked. I'm using Windows 10. I'm in the US, if that makes a difference.
I mapped several points in Basecamp, created a route from these points, and Sent To the Garmin Nuvi. (Prior to the export, I deleted all the files in the GPX folder in the Garmin). Basecamp showed that it was downloading to the Garmin.
AT this point, I have my first question, which is whether I am supposed to close BC, eject the Garmin, which turns it off, and then turn on the Garmin? That is what I have been doing, and then I press Trip Planner, which shows the hourglass, and then the trip shows up. Or, do I leave it plugged in (forever) with BC running? OR just close BC, eject Garmin, and not turn it on?
Anyway, by following the first option (although I have tried the others with no more success), I find that the route appears in trip planner, but with only the start and end points showing. However, all the other points seem to be in the Favorites folder.
Any suggestions as to what to do/try would be appreciated, as I have to do this for multiple routes.

Can you attach the gpx file of that route to a post here so I can look at it? You'll need to rename the extension to something else as gpx files aren't allowed as attachments. Thanks.

Your 2450 is an older model and uses the original Trip Planner app, it may simply be that is how the older Trip Planner app works.

I can't find it. I tried using "Search Everything" for a gpx file, and came up empty. Same when I used the name. Also looked at the various Basecamp folders. Do you know where Basecamp stores it in Windows 10?

The gpx file will be on your device. Normally sent from BaseCamp it will be called temp.gpx and will be in the GPX folder on your device.

Here it is. It would not upload if I changed the extension to something else, but did allow a zipped file.

Not sure what you had in them originally but two of the routes do simply have a start and end point. The other, the trip to the RV resort, has three via points. If they're not showing on your 2450 then I guess it's a limitation of the older style trip planner.

I don't think that's the case. I was using this method for years, and it worked fine. For some reason it has stopped working.

Well the other possibility is a change in your device. If it's worked previously then try a master reset.

I had read your suggestions in another thread, and before I started this one, I did do a master reset-----just to make sure I'm using the right terminology, it's where you press the start button while holding down the right bottom of the screen, and agree to let it make changes to reset, which it did, and I had to put in my information again.

I'm going to try something else, i.e., using the Garmin Europe map on both Basecamp and the Nuvi, instead of the OpenStreet Map I have been using, and see if that helps. I'll keep you informed.
