Basecamp update?

I thought the update was supposed to be released yesterday. When will it be released?
  • What is in that folder? BaseCamp has nothing to do with it as far as I can see on either my Win7 or Win10 PC?

I was getting a "0x80070643" error message when ever I attempted to load the update. Uninstalled the previous version as I thought it may have been corrupted. Still no success installing 4.7.0. Deleted the USB_Drivers folder in Windows/Program Files (x86)/Garmin and the install went smoothly. I wish I had checked these forums earlier :).
  • Basecamp 4.7 is no longer able to send IMG maps to my GPSMap 64s correctly. Map itself when installed works in BaseCamp but when it is transferred to device it shows only few basic shapes, device file is 20Mb instead of 600Mb. I use excellent service http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/ that monthly creates Garmin IMG maps based on current OpenStreetMap data.
Fortunately I can put .IMG file on device SD directly and it works.
  • Already reported but really the answer to all these issues is to reinstall 4.6.2

    Do not install 4.7.0
I cannot upload a map onto my device correctly, it lacks many detailed information. Only base layer is shown.
The first photo is a map uploaded from 4.6.2
The second photo is a new one (4.7.0)
  • The update to map 2019.10 via Garmin Express states "...that when you install files to computer you will be installing BaseCamp..." as well. Does that mean it will try and update 4.6.2 to 4.7?
I do have a backup of 4.6.2..exe files but have not yet risked the map update.

    Hello,

I've tried to track down an open case on this issue but have been unable to find one. I would recommend contacting product support to get this reported to them, especially if this is occurring with Garmin mapping and not just third party products. You can contact them by visiting the support center at https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?productID=52801&topicTag=region_mapping0 and then clicking on the Chat, Call, or Email option at the bottom of the page.
  • I'm using BaseCamp 4.7.0 and just updated to City Navigator NA 2019.2 with no problems.

Didn't for me, I suspect it would only happen if you didn't have any version of BC installed.
  • Hello everyone.

Here another more affected by the failure of the transfer of maps in version 4.7

I uninstalled version 4.7 to reinstall 4.6.2 and the problem was not solved.

As I also had MapInstall updated to version 4.2.0, what I had to do is the following:

    - Backup my basecamp data through the File / Backup menu.
    - Uninstall BaseCamp 4.7
    - Uninstall MapInstall 4.2.0
    - Delete in the path C: \ Users \ XXXXXXXXX \ AppData \ Roaming \ Garmin \ BaseCamp \ Database folders 4.6 and 4.7
    - Run Ccleaner and clean the registry and applications.
    - Install BaseCamp 4.6.2.

By doing this, BaseCamp installs MapInstall in version 4.0.4 and with this everything has worked as before.

We just need to restore our data from the File / Reset menu.

In case it can be of help to someone.

Excuse my English It is translated from Google.
