Just tried this, will report back. I had installed 4.7 when the first notice came and did not like the changes. Went back to 4.6.2 after uninstalling 4.7 and now the notice to updaten is back. The option to update is still listed under the help menu, however.
Did a File Backup after updating to BaseCamp 4.7.0. File size is reduced by almost 50%. I assume it is because of the EU GDBR Law. Thanks for posting a source for 4.6.2 in case it is needed.
I have installed a new version too fast. Unfortunately also a link to Google Earth has been removed. Does somebody know, where can I download an old version?
Yea. No improvements. Just more downgrade. Including one of the most important features which is viewing in Google Earth. i was able to reinstall 4.6.2 from the Basecamp install file located here: http://gawisp.com/perry/mapsource/. First I had to uninstall 4.7 and run the installed executable located above. Fortunately all the old data was preserved as well, with some extra nonsensical "lists" that 4.7 created. that can be easily deleted.
I had the same install problem as others with 4.7.0, install unsuccessful. The log file said it has to do with being unable to write to folder. Garmin looked at my log file and said it was my machine (reference id 11797346K0). So I spent $150 with the computer tech who FINALLY sussed it out. It is a Garmin issue, not my PC. The Program Files (x86)\USB_Drivers folder had to be renamed to something else, then the install file created a new USB Driver folder and the program worked.
