I have just recently upgraded my Nuvi 2455LM with updated maps and latest software. I also decided to download the Aus and NZ maps to my Windows 10 computer and accepted that in order to do so the Garmin Express app would also need to install BaseCamp at the same time.
Base camp seemed like a great idea, as me and the missus are planning a 2 week holiday to Tassie in October this year.
The base camp app seems to work fine looking around the map and downloading other users adventures, BUT when I go to use the Trip Planner function it will crash every time I go to enter in my starting location. As soon as it starts searching for a correct address based on the "enter starting location" it will first pop up about 6 possible locations, and then it will freeze. I will then get a Windows10 popup notification telling me that the program has stop responding and that I need to shut it down.
I've removed and reinstalled the BaseCamp application twice now. I also tried downloading just the BaseCamp program direct form the BaseCamp website, installing it first, and then adding the maps from my Garmin Nuvi 2455LM but it just keeps on crashing!
My windows10 computer has all the latest drivers and is fully up to date. ( Asus ROG gaming rig)
Any suggestions on how to stop trip planer from crashing BaseCamp?
