Basecamp Application has stopped working msg when doing a search

Running Basecamp 4.6.2 tried to search for a town and received message that Basecamp application has stopped working. I know this function was working in January. Windows 10 system 64 bit with all the latest maintenance some of which was put on last month. I shutdown my PC and reboot and tried search again and got same failure. Everything else seems to be working fine in Basecamp.

Mine's working fine. What map are you trying to search on?

US Tried searching for a town in Ga. when problem first showed. After starting Basecamp again tried towns in NC. each time getting the message and having to start Basecamp again. Then did a shutdown and tried again with same result. I know it was working in January and may have been working last month but it isn't today and Windows maint is the only change I know of. I am the only user of this PC.

Just done a search for Columbus in GA and BaseCamp came up with a list of over 20 ... so it's certainly working. Are you able to go back to an earlier Windows restore point to see if it is a Windows issue?

Restore prior to last Win Maine is being done now. I am on an iPad while I wait for restore to complete.

Restore failed. PC won’t come up. Restoring from external drive

Full system restore completed and now the search function in basecamp is back working. Will be interesting to see what happens when Windows put the maintenance back on.

I had that happen to me a few months ago. I reinstalled BaseCamp and that repaired the problem for me.

For anyone else experiencing this... Win10 Pro 64 bit, Basecamp 4.6.2. I was also having this problem which seems to have started after a recent Windows update. I was able to fix it by just re-running the Basecamp installer. I didn't uninstall first, I just ran the installer and the problem was solved.
