Base Camp can't read micro sd card.

Did you use Garmin Express to install the map to your PC? If not run Express and do so.

Express is working. I downloaded the map. I use it with my montana 680T. I can see the map files on the card in my computer. There is no problem with them. It works nicely. The problem is just base camp. I connect my device to my computer and run base camp; The map in the card is not read. In other words the map is not displayed. It appears in the '' user data '' of the card. But the map file does not appear

Make sure the map is named GMAPSUPP.img
Make sure the img file is in a folder named garmin
The garmin folder must be on an SD card that is inserted into your computer or inserted into your 680 and then connect the 680 to your computer.

If it's working on the device all that is good. The Montana doesn't care what the map file is named so no need for it to be gmapsupp.

metoon use Express to install the map to your PC. That way you can use BC even if the device isn't connected.

Hi Sussamb, thanks for your help. However I don't know how to install the map onto my PC. If you can guide me about this, I will appreciate your help.
I tried to install a new SD card, and downloaded maps but I can only download to the sd card and when download finishes, BC shows nothing inside the card... Just empty on BC but data shows up with the windows explorer.

Can you confirm how you bought the map for your Montana. If it wasn't pre-installed but was bought as a download then it can't be installed to your PC. If it was a download and therefore cannot be installed to your PC, and assuming it's working on your device as you say, then it should at least show in BaseCamp. As it isn't run JaVaWa's device manager, which allows you to set maps to show in BaseCamp.

Hi Sussamb Do these maps come with a limit? I can see these maps on my apple notebook, on my son’s win10 device properly but not on my own pc. If there is a limit, how can i register one of these devices? Or if you have any other recommendations please help me.

You can use the maps in as many BaseCamp installations as you want.
