Uploading a trip(route) from Basecamp to RV760..

I make all of my routes on my computer with no problem most of the time. I upload them to my RV760. Under "Transferring Routes" I place a check mark for "Always match route to map on my device when transferring". When the route is uploaded and I am ready to travel (all the same avoidances are marked on both Basecamp and RV7 60) the unit changes my route. At times it recalculates the route and it is anywhere from 20 to 50 miles different. When I upload a route I want the RV760 to use the route I upload and not revise it.

Is there a way to stop this?. I get 9/10 mpg when towing my trailer (38ft long & 15K) this can cause me a longer drive and anywhere from $10/50 more per trip.

Well if you have avoidance and routing options set in BaseCamp to match those on your device the routes should be close to identical. Having loaded a route I always compare the two in BaseCamp to ensure they match. If not I adjust as needed but this is only rarely required.

Are the maps the same version in BaseCamp and the RV760?

Yes Both maps are the same. I downloaded to both the PC and RV760 at the same time. They are both 4.6.2 version.

4.6.2 is the BaseCamp version, not map version.

The current MAP version is 2018.2

Yes they both are 2018.2. I must have had a brain fart... thanks for correcting me.

I just get frustrated when I upload a route that "I" want to use and then the RV760 changes it and it is anywhere from 30 to 50 miles different.
I just wish that the "Always match route to map on my device when transferring" worked with the GPS and not change it.

I just purchased the RV770 and hope it works closer with Basecamp. Basecamp is a great program. I have found it very helpful to use. I keep all of the states with associated campgrounds in that state together. I have been traveling full time in an RV since 2007 and have used Garmin the entire time. MapSource first then Basecamp.
