I am showing both. When I go to set device transfer it comes up with the 465t. I don't have it any longer. When I connect up my RV760 I want Basecamp to transfer my trips to the RV760 and they do but I don't want them to come to the 760 as being 465t. Doesn't it make a difference?.
Also I have a problem that when I transfer a route from Basecamp to my RV760 it does not follow the route I made. I have the selection checked to Always match route to the map on my device when transferring. Shouldn't it set the route I made on Basecamp on the GPS?
Thanks for the info. I am a big support of Basecamp.. I use to be deskside for an electric company in Dallas and can figure my way around most software. Great job on Basecamp guys..
No, it shouldn't make a difference. The route is a route and will be the same regardless of which device you send it to. As for not matching the BaseCamp route that can happen. First ensure you're using the same map in both BaseCamp and the device. Then ensure routing and avoidance settings match as closely as possible in both. If the routes still then differ add additional via or shaping points. I find only rarely is that last step necessary.
I had many different Garmin GPS units connected to my BaseCamp installation and have never seen any reference to the GPS name if it wasn't connected. Exactly where do you see that?
I have never looked at that selection so now I understand. I have my last GPS listed in that list also. I have no idea how to remove it but I am sure it won't hurt anything if it's there.
Try web search for My Garmin and log in via that site. Click on View registered products and then remove the 465t. I don't know if this will solve your issue, but it's worth a try.
