Basecamp - missing tracks from a Forerunner 305

I connected my wife's old 305 to BC today for the first time. (I have been using a Montana for our kayak trips, but she fires up the Forerunner, too.) BC shows many waypoints, but only 4 tracks.

The 305 itself shows many more tracks than come up on BC. Plus, the tracks on the 305 show up on Garmin Connect.

I found an old question on this forum dating back a few years, where someone had the same issue, but there we no replies.

Has anyone been able to figure this out?

I found a work around for this issue. Garmin Connect will export the track file, and BC will import that file. So, although BC cannot see the track on the 305, it can import the file and show the track. Problem solved.
