I have a new laptop that doesn't have a DVD player. I really don't need one. I have reinstalled Basecamp and bought the Topo 24K Southwest DVD 4 years ago. I want to install that DVD on my laptop. I have tried to download the entire DVD onto Google Drive then download Google Drive to my laptop. It won't install saying there is a file missing. How can I do this and I will be very upset if I'm forced to purchase another $100 download. If it cant be done will the DVD install from an external DVD player. That would be cheaper than a $100 download. Thanks.

Get a thumb drive bigger than 4GB and make a new folder on it.
Find a friend or someone with a DVD player.
Copy and paste the entire DVD contents to the new folder on the thumb drive. It will take awhile.
Plug the thumb drive into your laptop and use windows explorer to find the setup.exe file inside the new folder and double click it.
If it will not install from the thumb drive then copy and paste that new folder from the thumb drive to the laptop.
Open the new folder, find the setup.exe file and double click it.
I have done this with several Garmin Topo24k maps to various computers so it should work.
