I have just signed in to this forum and I hope for feedback on a problem that came up while preparing my touristic trip in a week from now.
I prepared a number of waypoints in Google Maps, then downloaded and imported them into BaseCamp and the Garmin map. Using BaseCamp, I then modified the waypoint icons to differentiate between hotels, restaurants, places-to-see, parking lots, etc. No problems, all good.
My problem is now that, after I transferred these into my new DriveSmart LMT-D, all appear on that instrument with a default icon instead. That is “survivable”, but not pleasant. I know that I can change the icons one by one on the instrument but, my number of waypoints being quite large, it’s cumbersome (to put it mildly).
Maybe I overlooked an option or a smarter way of doing this. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
