Timezone Overlays

Hello,

Is anyone aware of a way to overlay a time zone map in basecamp. I want to be able to view waypoints on the map and visually see what time zone they are in.
If this is possible, can someone point me in the right direction. I haven't been able to find anything via google.

Thanks,
  • Basecamp doesn't do overlay maps*.

You might be able to get gpx tracks that show the timezone lines.

    * There's an odd exception with hill shading.

Thank you. I hadn't thought about a gpx that follows the time zones. I'll look around for that.

    Hello Greg,
Here is a KMZ file that puts 6 different selectable types of timezone overlays on Google Earth. Just unzip the file and double click the KMZ and it opens into GE. I use the BARNABU overlay. When you click on a shaded section it tells you the time zone. You can export a track from BaseCamp to GE and see which timezone the track is in.
