Is there any way to change the font size of Waypoint names IN BaseCamp?

At the zoom level I want to use, Waypoint names are obscured by adjacent waypoints.

Or is it possible to display names in same horizontal plane as the symbol, rather than higher and to right?

Sure. In the Edit Menu, Select Options, and then Display to change the font size.

An alternative is to place the Pan or Selection tool over the cluster to get a list of Waypoints. A specific waypoint can be selected in the pop-up. The usefulness of this option depends on the closeness of the waypoints and what you are trying to do.
