1. Fix GPX Export to embrace "Child Waypoints" for geocaching. Every other app supports this function, but not BaseCamp. I suspect it is because BaseCamp exports with the Waypoint name instead of the GCcode. 2. Fix GPX Export to be more generic. I have had multiple apps that would not import a BaseCamp export file. Some of those developers adjusted their software to recognize Garmin's proprietary GPX format. They should not have to do that. For those who did not make "Garmin adjustments", I have to load and resave with GSAK before they will load a BaseCamp output. 3. Add support for the Geocaching.com API, to allow refreshing/updating of Geocaches and Waypoints, download xx updated logs etc. 4. BaseCamp needs a Global and/or multi-select function to turn on/off displaying name/symbol/name+symbol etc. on the map for geocaches. You can do this with waypoints, but not geocaches.
I'm using Win7, GPSMAP 64st, latest firmware and BaseCamp versions.

Garmin isn't using a "proprietary" GPX format. It's just a variation (which the gpx standard allows).
The problem is that the other apps are too picky.
As it happens, Basecamp might be overly picky too.
(Garmin has the tcx format which is, basically, a proprietary GPX format.)
