etrex 10 Newbie question: how do I get the map to show my location at all times?

The map doesn't seem to keep track of where I am, so I can 'walk off' the display! Then I have to scroll around/zoom out to try to find my location again, centre the map there and then all is well until I walk off again. Is there a setting which persuades the etrex to keep its display centred on my current location?

Apologies if I am not asking my question on the right forum.

Unfortunately there aren't any forums here for 'On the trail' devices, I've been asking for one for years :)

If your position isn't moving with the map you'll be in scroll mode, you can tell when you are as they'll be a small white arrow somewhere on the screen. Just tap the menu button so that arrow disappears and all will be well.
