Would like to respond to prematurely closed post

This thread posted just 19 hrs ago was closed. There is still valuable and helpful exchange that can occur to help the OP from different viewpoints. Can this thread be reopened?

The post was closed since the op was stating something that has been covered many times before rather than asking a question. I therefore saw little point in keeping it open.

There are many viewpoints and perspectives that may help an person asking for help as its possible that other helpful comments are not already buried in the 1000s of threads here.
Who is an admin I can communicate with regarding arbitrary and premature closing of posts? And who may be able to open the post in question?

I can open it but I'm not going to for the reason already stated. Anything worthy of keeping at the top of the forum rather than have something 'buried' as you put it we make into a sticky.
