Can't zoom in far enough

I am GPSing a trail system at a local park using a GPSmap 64s. I've gotten used to Basecamp but have one issue: I can't zoom in far enough a lot of times to distinguish between items on that I've marked. For example, I will mark a trail head, a trail marker and then geotag some photos of those items. When I am in Basecamp I can see all of them, but if they are fairly close together, say 50' apart, it is very difficult to work on one without it being obscured by everything else... The max zoom level is 80' per unit, is there any way to zoom in further? 3 more levels of zoom would be really nice, especially with the higher accuracy of GPS units these days... I can't see that the program would really have an issue rendering it.

If you Use Google Earth (command Basecamp to view Center of screen in Google Earth) you will get much greater map resolution. Zoom to the max just before it goes into "ground view". Using the Basecamp scale as a reference, Id estimate Google Earth scale is down to 8 feet. But actual resolution where one can discern objects is probably about a foot. One can easily see a worn walking path with Google Earth and trace it using the "Add Path" feature.
  • Waypoints too close

Yes, when waypoints are really close together, it's hard to select only the one that you want from the map in BaseCamp. What I do when that happens is to use the arrow selection tool and draw a selection box around the little cluster of waypoints. That will select all of them, and they will be highlighted in the list on the left of the screen. Then I just scroll to the one that I actually want to edit/move/whatever and click it in the list to open it, etc.
