680t rerouting due to map not installed when downloading route to 680t

Whenever I send a route to my 680t, Basecamp says the route was rerouted because the original map the route was created on is not on the 680t. This is not correct. The route was created on the Topo U.S. 24K West map in Basecamp and I have downloaded this map to my 680t. I can verify that the Topo U.S. 24K West map is installed on my 680t by selecting 'Maps', 'Install Maps'. Select 'Customize' in the window that pops up and another window pops up with a list of my installed maps. So, the route should not be rerouted because the map used to create the route is present on my 680t. Any thoughts anyone?

Hello Greg,

The problem could be that the Activity profile (motorcycle, bicycle, etc) and it's settings on the 680 are not the same as on BC.
Did you install the 24K Topo onto the 680 using the Garmin MapInstall program?

Hello Greg,
Installing with BaseCamp might be the problem. I recommend you download and install MapInstall. Then start the DVD that contains your 24K Topo and install directly to an SD card or the 680 from the DVD. I like SD cards because I have 4 different units that I can switch between.
