Basecamp and routes

Hi,

I am a bit new to basecamp and have some things confusing me. When I create routes or way points, or have saved tracks under my collection, how can I view base camp without all of these showing on the map? I have a few snowmobile trails set up from the same staring point and after a while it gets confusing to see what route I am currently on. I would like to just be able to look at a bare map and create what I need, then add to my individual lists to put on my gps.

Hi John, try making Lists and putting stuff you don't need at the moment into the Lists. Then you can start with another List with nothing in it and all you'll see is the map. Click on Help then Data Management to find out about Folders and Lists.

Thank you for the reply. That worked perfectly. I made a list just to create new routes and such then move to the correct list.

Another question I have is, is there any way to view 2 maps at the same time on base camp? Meaning a topo map as well as a snowmobile trail map?

Sorry for the simple questions, still learning.

No, it's not possible to view more than one map at a time. No trouble with simple questions, a pleasure to help. The BaseCamp wiki may also help as tere is very little info provided by Garmin themselves: https://garminbasecamp.wikispaces.com/
