Just loaded Topo Canada V4 on my laptop from DVD. Everything seemed to load ok but Basecamp will not start. I'm using Windows 10 with no other issues. I had it on my old desktop with XP on it and it worked fine.
Sussanb, Thanks for the quick reply. I rung them a couple of days ago, Australia Garmin from New Zealand, very nice people but said that it was probably a win10 problem and said they could not do anything about it. Now a couple of days later I am more than a little hacked off. BaseCamp is made to run on Windows. My system was running on Win10 just fine. I have uninstalled it twice now and installed a fresh new copy of BaseCamp. It does not run. I expect it to run, how else am I to use my (2nd) Montana GPS?
It's not a Win10 general issue as it works on mine as I said and numerous other folks. Why it's not working for you who can say. I'm not sure what else you can try.

Hello Terry, Here is a wild guess. Years ago I updated my then current version of BaseCamp and it stopped working. I uninstalled reinstalled tried an older version on and on getting nowhere. Finally during a reinstall I noticed it was installing BaseCamp to my backup hard drive D:/....So make sure it is installing on C:/ and make sure the desktop shortcut is pointing to C:/.
