Playback stops when speed (km/h) is zero

Hi Garmin Basecamp Developers !
I use very often Basecamp for track playback downloaded from www.GPSIES.com.
So I can prepare very fine my bicycle rides.
But there is a bug in Basecamp which is very annoying:
All entries in the downloaded gpx file with speed = 0 km/h causes stopping the Basecamp playback.
If I remove such an entry in Basecamp the playback continues (until the next zero speed entry).
Sometimes there are very much (> 100) such zero-speed entries in a gpx-file and it is very time consuming
and boring to remove all these zero-speed entries.
In the attachment you can see such an zero-speed entry.
Or is there any work around to remove all zero-speed entries by a single command.

And one more wish: is it possible to insert a Time Multiplier of x 50 (between x 10 and x 100)?

Best regards
Anton

If you look in this document about 3/4 of the way down, you will see the syntax for <speed>. http://www.topografix.com/gpx_manual.asp#number

You may be able to open your track GPX file in Notepad and do a search for <speed>0.0< and replace it with <speed>0.2<
The number is in meters per second, so a walking speed might be as low as 0.1 m/s. I don't know if it will accept a value below that, since none of my tracks have a <speed> entry. In fact, I can't test this at all, but it is easy to try.

    Hello Anton,

To get rid of 0km/h speeds using BaseCamp:
Double click the track to open the Properties box. Scroll thru the data checking the distances associated with the 0 speeds. Usually these distances are very small at 1 to 5 kms.
At the bottom of the Properties box click the "Filter" button > click Distance button > Enter a distance 1 meter bigger than the biggest distance with a 0 speed you found > click Okay > scroll thru the data again to see if you missed any 0's and filter again if necessary. When finished close "X" the box.

The best track playback is using Google Earth. GE is a free download and install from the net. Select your track in BaseCamp > Up top click "View" > Google Earth > Selected Items > GE automatically opens > On the left side find BaseCamp and keep opening folders down to "Paths" > Right click your track > Properties > Style Color Tab > I use Yellow > Okay.
Then, in the lower left side, just above the words "Earth Gallery" is a button with 3 boxes. Mouse over and it says "Play Tour". Click it and GE does a fly over of your track using its great 3D imagery.

Playback stops when speed (km/h) is zero

    Hello Rocky_TFS,
thank you for the quick answer.
I understand your work around info.
But the GPX file did not contains a speed tag.
The speed entry is only to be seen in Basecamp.
There must be a transformation from GPX file to the properties in Basecamp.
But by your link to the GPX-description now I understand better how all work together.
I attached a GPX file which leads to many Basecamp zero-speed entries in Basecamp properties.
So you can comprehend my issue better.

Playback stops when speed (km/h) is zero

    Hello Rocky_TFS,

The GPX file does not contains a speed tag as you assumed.
Only in the Basecamp properties you can see the speed-zero information.
There must be a transformation from GPX file to Basecamp properties.
(see GPX file in attachment: without speed tags but leading to speed-zero entries in Basecamp properties).
Your link to the the GPX description was very helpful for me to understand how all work together.

    Hello DATEZZ,
your answer is just that I needed!!
And the information to use Google Earth for playback is also very useful.

Thanks a lot for both answers.
